Puerto Vallarta Area Activities

Visitors to Puerto Vallarta can choose from a wide range of activities. Banderas Bay is known for sport-fishing, where deep-sea anglers flock to catch mahi-mahi, marlin, and red snapper.

The Bay also features resplendent coral reefs that attract scuba divers. Visitors can explore the underwater caves on one of several guided tours at Los Arcos National Marine Park, too.

An abundance of tree-lined golf courses are scattered throughout the region. Legendary swinger Jack Nicklaus designed the Four Seasons Golf Club in Punta de Mita, which features an optional green on the third hole that sits on an island.

Puerto Vallarta is also a visual arts mecca, and more than 90 galleries show local, national and international work during the art season from November to April.
